Bandits attack village, kill Army colonel, soldiers in Katsina
A Nigerian Army colonel, M.Z Manu and two soldiers have been killed by bandits during an attack at Unguwar Doka Village under Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State. The bandits who were armed with AK-47 rifles invaded the village on Thursday night and started shooting indiscriminately. In the process, the colonel, soldiers and some civilians were killed. Katsina graduate sets his certificates ablaze over inability to secure a job (photos)

The State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has suspended Governor Kayode Fayemi. Ekiti APC suspends Buhari’s aide, 10 others
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has suspended the Special Adviser to the President on political matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu and ten other big wigs of the state chapter over alleged anti-party activities. According to a statement by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Ade Ajayi, the suspension followed the recommendation of a ten-member Disciplinary panel led by Hon. Patrick Ajigbolamu. Reacting to the suspension, Ojudu expressed that he and the other suspended individuals remain members of the party.
