The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has urged the Minister of State for Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, to resign as minister and engage in farming. The Chairman of ASUU, University of Ibadan chapter, Prof Ayo Akinwole, stated this in a statement in Ibadan while reacting to the minister’s criticism of the union on Tuesday. Court suspends Hushpuppi’s trial
The trial of Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Chambers orders of Judge Otis Wright released on September 23, revealed that the jury trial will continue by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021. Hushpuppi had pleaded not guilty to the four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.
