EndSARS: NHRC sets up Panel to tackle human rights violation
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has constituted an 11-man independent investigative panel to look into allegations of human rights violations leveled against operatives of the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other units of the Nigeria Police Force. This was according to a statement by the NHRC Executive Secretary, Tony Ojukwu on Friday in Abuja, he stated that the panel will hear petitions, complaints, and memoranda from Nigerians across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT. Police dismisses Officers, demotes Abayomi Shogunle, Dolapo Badmos, other officers
The Nigeria Police has dismissed and demoted at least some former members of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
