Former Chairman, Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina has told the Federal High Court, Abuja, that he has no case to answer in the allegation filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Maina through his counsel, Anayo Adibe, had told Justice Okon Abang, that he would be filing a no-case submission. He was also cross-examined by the ninth prosecution witness (PW9), Rouqquaya Ibrahim, an EFCC investigator. Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, has stated that the National Assembly has no constitutional power to summon President Muhammadu Buhari. NCC suspends SIM sale, registration
Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has ordered telecommunications companies to halt the sale and activation of Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) following an audit of the Subscriber Registration Database. In a statement by the Director, Public Affairs, Ikechukwu Adinde on Wednesday, he said the directive will be in effect until the audit is completed adding that the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, instructed the NCC to conduct the exercise. Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige has revealed that it has delivered on offers made to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
