Lekki Shooting: Army admits live, blank bullets were taken to Protest Venue
The Nigerian Army has admitted that it took live and blank bullets to the Lekki tollgate in Lagos during the EndSARS Protest which took place on the 20th of October. A representative of the army, Brigadier General Ahmed Taiwo, who is the commander of the 81 Military Intelligence Brigade said the live rounds were not used on the protesters. Law Students sue ASUU for incessant strikes, request compensation of N10B
The Law Students Association of Nigeria has dragged the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) before a Federal High Court in Abuja following the incessant strikes. According to a report by TheGuardian, the suit which was filed at the court on Friday, November 20, is an order asking ASUU to return to the classroom as well as an order restraining them from embarking on any further strike. Nigeria signs MoU to import fuel from Niger Republic
The Ministry of Petroleum has signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU with the Government of Niger Republic for the importation of fuel. In a statement released by the Ministry of petroleum, Soraz Refinery in Zinder, Niger Republic has a surplus of 15,000 barrel each day following an installed refining capacity of 20,000 barrels per day compared to the nation’s 5,000bpd domestic requirement.
