Abducted wife of Akeredolu’s Chief of Staff regains freedom
Sade Ale, the wife of the Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, Olugbenga Ale has regained her freedom. This was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro. Sade was abducted on Thursday evening by unknown gunmen near Owena, along Akure/Ondo Highway. According to reports, immediately the police got information of the abduction, a combined team of policemen, military, and local hunters went after the abductors who were forced to abandon the captives and escape arrest. Sade and a business woman that was reportedly abducted alongside her have been rescued by the police.

ASUU agrees to call off strike as FG increases payment to N70b
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has agreed to call off the strike following a decision reached during a meeting in Abuja between the union and the federal government delegation led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige.
