#EndSARS: Police withdraws suit seeking to stop the Judicial Panels of Inquiry
The Nigeria police force (NPF) has applied to withdraw the suit challenging the legality of the judicial panels set up to probe allegations of brutality and human rights abuses against the force. In a suit marked FHC/ ABJ/CS/1492/2020 and filed by O.M Atoyebi, police counsel, the force had argued that the establishment of panels of inquiry by state governors to investigate its activities was illegal and unconstitutional. Lagos-Ibadan Train fare to cost between N3000 and N6000 – Amaechi
The federal government has disclosed that Nigerians will have to pay between N3,000 and N6,000 as transport fare for the Lagos-Ibadan train route. Appeal Court upholds Maryam Sanda’s death sentence for the murder of her husband
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has upheld the death sentence handed to Maryam Sanda, convicted for murdering her husband Bilyaminu Bello, a cousin of former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Haliru Bello. A three-man panel of the court, in a judgment on Friday afternoon, dismissed Sandra’s appeal for lacking in merit.
