ASUU finally calls off Strike
The Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) on Wednesday called off its nine-month old strike. ASUU National President, Biodun Ogunyemi made the announcement during a briefing of the union in Abuja, explaining that the development followed with its National Executive Council (NEC). Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a bill granting former presidents and their family members lifetime immunity from prosecution for crimes once they leave office. Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha has disclosed that four of his children tested positive for Coronavirus. The people of Warri were thrown into mourning on Monday as the Olu of Warri, Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko, has reportedly died of complications from Coronavirus barely a week after his fifth coronation anniversary. There were claims that the king had contact with the late Major General John Irefin, who died earlier this month from COVID-19 complications. Late Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko, born 19 March 1955 to Olu Erejuwa II (1951–1986) and Olori Eyinagboluwade Emiko, was the 20th Olu of Warri. He ascended the throne on the 12th of December, 2015.
