Boko Haram allegedly hoist flags in some parts of Borno
Some suspected members of Boko Haram have reportedly hoisted their flag in parts of Marte local government in Borno State. Military sources told Channels Television that the insurgents attacked the local government within the week and neighbouring Dikwa local government on Friday February 19. They were however repelled in Dikwa by a combined effort of the air component and ground forces of Operation Lafiya Dole in a battle that lasted hours. Benin Republic ready to be Nigeria’s ‘37th state’ – Minister
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, has revealed that the President of Benin Republic, Patrice Talon, has expressed readiness for his country to be part of Nigeria. The Minister made this known shortly after a closed-door meeting with Beninoise Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Aurélien Agbenonci on Friday. Hushpuppi laundered funds for North Korean hackers, US alleges
New details have emerged about the case against Internet fraudster Ramon Abbas, fondly referred to as Hushpuppi. According to the United State of America’s Department of Justice, Hushpuppi laundered money for North Korean hackers. The revelation was known when federal prosecutors in Los Angeles unsealed a case against one Ghaleb Alaumary, 37, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada for his role as a money launderer for the North Korean conspiracy, among other criminal schemes. Kagara abduction: FG won’t pay any ransom – Lai Mohammed
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has assured that no ransom will be paid to secure the release of the abducted students and members of staff of Government Science College, Kagara.
