Shiite Group calls for the release of El-Zakzaky, Wife
Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Shiites have called for the release of their embattled leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, his wife and other members of the group still in detention. This was according to a statement by the Chairman Resource Forum of the IMN, Professor Abdullahi Danladi on Saturday while addressing newsmen in Kaduna. He said that four years after a federal high court freed El-Zakzaky and his wife, the federal government has refused to obey the court order. Passengers and airline staff fight over flight cancellation
Frustrated passengers and airline staff were caught in a fight over a cancelled flight on Friday evening, Jan 15, at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano. According to Daily Trust, the fight started when passengers of an Azman flight from Kano to Lagos were informed that the flight, which was earlier rescheduled from 7:30am to 8:30pm, had been cancelled. Passengers protested and it soon turned violent, resulting in a female staff of the airline collapsing after being hit, a passenger left with a bloody mouth and another staff had his cloth nearly ripped off his body.
