Deji Adeyanju reacts as IGP orders arrest of Sunday Igboho
Popular activist, Deji Adeyanju has reacted to the arrest order for Sunday Igboho by the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu. Igboho had issued a quit notice to Fulani in Igangan, Ibarapa Local Government, Oyo State, accusing them of the rising insecurity in the area, following the tension generated by the quit notice IGP Adamu ordered the arrest of Mr. Igboho. The National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo has expressed confidence that nobody can chase herdsmen away from the forest reserves in Ondo state. He said all lands in Nigeria belong to the Fulani ethnic group. IGP orders arrest of Sunday Igboho over eviction notice to Herdsmen
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu has ordered the arrest of Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, over the quit notice he issued to herdsmen. BBC Hausa quoted Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, as confirming the arrest order during its programme on Friday. Shehu reportedly stated that the IGP informed him of his directive to the Oyo State Police Commissioner, Ngozi Onadeko, to arrest Igboho and transfer him to Abuja. IMN demands immediate release of El-Zakzaky, Wife from detention over Covid-19 contraction
The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) has demanded for the immediate release of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenah Ibrahim who has reportedly contracted Covid-19.
