Babagana Monguno, the National Security Adviser (NSA), has denied his recent comment about funds meant for purchase of arm going missing under the immediate past Service Chiefs. Monguno said he was quoted out of context. Minister of States for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva has rejected reports by the Petroleum Products Pricing Agency (PPPRA) on the increase in price of petrol. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) restated that the price of petrol has not been increased following an outcry the report incited after which the PPPRA deleted the post from its website. Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have attacked the Federal College of Forestry in Kaduna State, abducting several students. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has countered reports of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) on increase in fuel price. NNPC in a post on its official Twitter page insisted that there is no increase in depot prise of Premium Motor Spirit. The post read: “NNPC insists no increase in Ex-Depot Price of PMS in March.” This countered report posted by PPPRA on Thursday night via its website, announcing an increase in fuel price. Few days after the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) promised there would be no price hike for Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol in March, the price has hit N212 litre. But on Thursday night, the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) released the latest guiding retail price.
