China’s N3.2 trillion loan to Nigeria is nothing to worry about — DMO DG, Patience Oniha
Director-general of the Debt Management office, Patience Oniha has revealed that Nigeria’s loans from China are about N3.2 trillion and constitute about 11 per cent of its total external debt. In an interview with Premium Times, Oniha said the loans are all concessional loans that are project-tied and that there are no reasons for Nigerians to be worried about them. She also revealed that Nigeria’s debt to Gross Domestic Products (GDP) is currently sustainable, but that there is a need for the country to do much better in terms of debt services to revenue. Football star, Ronaldinho’s mother dies aged 71 after contracting Covid-19
Brazilian football legend, Ronaldinho’s mother reportedly passed away after testing positive for Covid-19. Dona Miguelina, aged 71, was hospitalised after testing positive for the virus in December 2020, in their home city of Porto Alegre. Boko Haram allegedly hoist flags in some parts of Borno
Some suspected members of Boko Haram have reportedly hoisted their flag in parts of Marte local government in Borno State. Military sources told Channels Television that the insurgents attacked the local government within the week and neighbouring Dikwa local government on Friday February 19. New details have emerged about the case against Internet fraudster Ramon Abbas, fondly referred to as Hushpuppi. According to the United State of America’s Department of Justice, Hushpuppi laundered money for North Korean hackers.
