Security situation in South-East, South-South critical – Acting IGP Usman Baba
Acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba says there are critical security situations in the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones of the country. Baba disclosed this on Friday in Abuja at the opening of a meeting with police strategic commanders in the zones. He said the meeting was aimed at discussing security issues affecting the two regions of the country in order to resolve them and afterwards, the commanders will go back to their zones to implement outcome of the meeting. Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth’s husband is dead
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II, is dead. He died on Friday at Windsor Castle in England. According to Nytimes, the Buckingham Palace said he passed away peacefully. The 99-year-old also had a successful surgery for a pre-existing heart condition at St Bartholomew’s hospital and was discharged last month.

Abducted RCCG members regain their freedom
Eight abducted members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Kaduna State have been released. The abduction took place at the Kachia-Kafanchan highway while they were travelling in the church’s bus last Friday, March 26.
