El-Rufai meets Pastor Adeboye after release of RCCG Members
The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has met with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Tuesday following the release of eight abducted members if the RCCG The meeting took place at the governor’s office in Kaduna. The General Overseer of RCCG had announced the release of the victims last Thursday through his Twitter handle. The members belonged to Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna. They were kidnapped along Kachia-Kafanchan Road, on their way to a programme. It could not be ascertained whether ransoms were paid before their release.

Bauchi state government to conduct census on sex workers in the state
The Bauchi state government has concluded plans to conduct a headcount of commercial sex workers in the state with a view to having accurate data on them. Bodies of 11 slain soldiers arrive military cemetery in Makurdi
Bodies of the 11 soldiers killed in Bonta community of Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State have arrived the military cemetery in Makurdi, the State capital. The military, through its Director, Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Yerima, had in a statement on April 9, confirmed the killing of the 11 troops by local militias in Konshisha LGA of the State. The troops who were on stabilization operation in the state over the communal crisis between Konshisha and the Oju LG were initially declared missing but were later found dead after the deployment of a joint search.
