Stay away until Ebonyi is safe, Umahi warns Herders
Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi has warned herdsmen to stay away from the state until peace and calm is restored. He made this known while speaking on Tuesday in Abakaliki, the state capital. Umahi said that with recent killing of policemen and burning of police stations, the region’s problems is beyond herdsmen. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that no reasonable government will allow the Minister of communications and digital economy, Isa Pantami in it’s cabinet. Gunmen attack Police Station in Enugu; Kill two Officers
Gunmen are said to have attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters in Adani, Enugu State’s Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area. The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday. A bill seeking to create a database for cows is currently being considered on the floor of the senate. The bill for an Act to ‘establish national livestock and management (protection, control and management etc) bureau’ is being sponsored by Bima Enagi (APC, Niger South) and it scaled a second reading on Tuesday April 20. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested a 300-level university student identified as Rhoda Agboje and her boyfriend, Ifeanyi Nwankwo, who both specialise in producing and selling drugged cookies to school children and other unsuspecting members of the public in Abuja.
