FG orders GoTv, Startimes to migrate to freeTv platform
The Federal Government has directed GoTv and Startimes to migrate their signals to the two licensed FreeTv signal distributors in Nigeria. This was in a directive from Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture. He said it was in line with the Digital Switch Over (DSO) process. Disclosing this on Thursday in Abuja, the Minister said the laws of the land recognises a single frequency network that is being operated by two licensed signal distributors, Integrated Television Services (ITS) and Pinnacle Communications. 2023: INEC fixes date to Resume Registration of Voters
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed June 28 to resume the continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise ahead of the 2023 elections. INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu announced the date at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday. Angry mob beats water vendor to death in Bauchi, burns his corpse over alleged blasphemy (photos)
A water vendor was reportedly beaten to death and his corpse set ablaze by religious extremists in Sade village, Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi state over alleged blasphemy. The Nigerian Police Force has launched a radio station which it stated that it’s aim is to “bring the Force closer to the people and bolster its partnership and good working relationship with them”. Nigerian Air Force aircraft goes missing during an operation in Northern Nigeria
The Nigerian Air Force has declared one of its aircraft missing in action. This was according to a statement released on Wednesday night, March 31, by the Director of Public Relations of the Nigeria Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet. FG proposes to spend N396bn on COVID-19 vaccination – Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed
