Abductors kept Chibok Girls in Houses, taught them Scripture recitations – Community Leader reveals
The National Coordinator of Gwoza Christian Community Association (GCCA), Ayuba Bassa has narrated his encounter during the early abduction of the Chibok Girls. Bassa said he watched helplessly as the insurgents moved the girls from one location to another, teaching them scriptural recitations. Obaseki fires back at Finance minister, over denial of printed N60bn
Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has reacted to a statement by the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed countering his claim that 50 -60 billion naira was printed by the CBN and shared to State Governors. Release of remaining Chibok girls still work in progress – Presidency
The Presidency has assured that the release of the Chibok Girls who have been in Boko Haram’s custody since 2014 is still a work in progress. Yobe Governor, Buni marries Abacha’s daughter, Gumsu
Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni on Wednesday married daughter of General Sani Abacha, Gumsu Sani Abacha in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The marriage was held at the Abuja residence of Gumsu’s brother, Mohammed Abacha. Notable personalities and government officials, including the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Hameed Ali were in attendance. It is not true – FG replies Governor Obaseki on printing of N60bn
The Federal Government has countered claims by Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki that it printed N50 to N60 billion for states to share in March 2021. This was according to a statement by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed while answering questions from state house correspondents. Ahmed noted that what was distributed at the monthly FAAC meetings were generated revenues from government institutions available to the public at the ministry’s website. Ex-Imo Gov, Rochas Okorocha arrested
Former Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, was arrested on Tuesday in Abuja. He was picked by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in his private office. EFCC Head of Media, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the development. The reason is not known yet, but the Senator reportedly failed to honour invitations by the agency.
