Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Gumi has assured that talks are ongoing for the release of the Greenfield University Students who are still in their abductors custody. Five of the students have been killed by the bandits while their leader, Sani Jalingo, said the remaining students would be killed if the government or the parents failed to provide N100 million and 10 motorcycles. Insecurity: Over 2000 pastors storm Ebonyi state to pray for Governor Umahi
Following the spate of insecurity in the country, over two thousand pastors have embarked on fasting and prayers in Ebonyi State for Governor David Umahi. The one-week fasting and prayers is organized by the Ebonyi State Government in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi State Chapter. Two escape as gunmen abduct Abia varsity students
Gunmen have abducted unspecified students of Abia State University (ABSU) Uturu but two of them escaped from the abductors. Catholic Church suspends Father Mbaka
The Catholic Diocese of Enugu has suspended Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka from church activities for one month as the controversial priest’s political escapades continue to overshadow his theological obligations.
