The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has on Thursday, May 27th suspended the license of Human Rights Radio. The travails of the station began after Ahmed Isah, its owner, who is also the host of Berekete Family, a programme on the radio station, was caught assaulting a woman who appeared on the show. Police arrest gunmen who attacked Ortom on his farm in March.
The Nigerian Police says it has arrested some men that were allegedly involved in the failed attack on the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom. Boko Haram terrorists reportedly abduct travellers along Damaturu-Maiduguri road
Some travellers were on Wednesday May 26, abducted by Boko Haram terrorists along the Damaturu-Maiduguri Road. According to report, the incident occurred at about 9am, two hours after the expiration of it’s curfew. The insurgents mounted a roadblock around Mainok town, roughly 55 kilometers away from Maiduguri.
