Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru has died in an air crash at about 6:00 p.m. on Friday. A military Beachcraft 350 carrying him went down at the Kaduna International Airport on Friday, claiming all passengers. Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Nigerian Air Force Director of Information confirmed the mishap in a statement. “An air crash involving a @NigAirForce aircraft occurred this evening near the Kaduna International Airport. “The immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained. Buhari orders NCC to collect Nigerians’ phone IDs within three months
President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Nigerian Communications Commission to collect the phone International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of citizens within three months. Buhari’s directive to the NCC was contained in the Revised National Identity Policy for SIM Card Registration. The directive, according to Buhari, must be fully implemented by the end of July 2021. Catholic priest killed, another abducted as bandits attack church in Katsina
St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, Malunfashi, Katsina State was attacked by bandits on Thursday, May 20 at about 11pm. The bandits invaded the church premises and abducted two Catholic Priests, Rev. Fr. Alphonsus Yashim Bello who was later killed and Rev Father Joe Keke. According to reports, the bandits opened fire within the church premises leaving some people injured. The late priest was said to have resisted abduction but the armed men overpowered him and whisked him away. The lifeless body of Fr.
