Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has reacted to the decision by Twitter to delete President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet warning armed secessionists in the Southeast region of the country that he will treat them in a “language they understand. The social media giant however noted that “this Tweet violated the Twitter Rules”, it’s reason for deleting the tweet. Senate abolishes dichotomy between BSC, HND
The Nigerian Senate has read for the third time and passed a bill seeking to abolish the dichotomy between University graduates and Higher National Diploma (HND) holders from polytechnics in the country. This followed the consideration of the report of the Senate Joint Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters; and Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND, during plenary. Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed the Senior Special Assistant to Benue Governor Samuel Ortom on Security, AIG Christopher Dega (Rtd).
