Twitter ban: Social media not food, let’s go back to old ways of life ― Buhari’s Rep
Hon. Fatihu Mohammed, Representative of President Muhammadu Buhari’s at the House of Reps, has asked Nigerians to do away with social media and return to the old way of life. He said this in support of the ban on Twitter operations in Nigeria by the federal government. Mohammed is a member of the joint House Commitee on Information, ICT and Justice investigating the circumstances of the twitter ban. Senate finally confirms Farouk Yahaya as Chief of Army Staff
The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Maj. Gen. Farouk Yahaya as the new Chief of Army Staff. The decision was taken on Tuesday after the consideration of the report of its joint committee on Defence and Army led by senators Aliyu Wamakko and Ali Ndume. Over 20 workers of Heritage Bank Plc on Monday, June 21 stormed the Abuja residence of Senator Andy Uba, to demand that he pays the bank the loan he owes.
