NANS meets Sheikh Gumi, seeks release of Abducted Students
The National Association of Nigerian Students have. met with popular Islamic cleric, Ahmad Gumi, to seek the release of the students abducted across the country. Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila says lawmakers support the federal governments decisiom to ban Twitter operations in the country in order to protect national security. The Lagos judicial panel has awarded the sum of N10 million to the family of Kolade Johnson, one of the many victims of police extrajudicial killing. Sheikh Gumi denies being summoned by DSS
Controversial Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has reacted to reports that he was summoned by the Department of State Services, DSS. Gumi however dismissed the report. Reports had it that the popular Islamic cleric was summoned by DSS over his allegations against security operatives.
