Ebonyi announces N5m Tuition as Medical Varsity begins September
Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi has announced that academic activities would take off in September 2021 at the new state-owned Medical University, Uburu, in the Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state. He stated this during the flag-off of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund and State Health Insurance Scheme in Abakaliki on Tuesday. UNIBEN final year student shot dead after writing last exam
A final year student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) identified as Augustine Izu has been shot dead by yet-to-be identified gunmen. The incident happened after gunmen invaded his compound in Ugbowo, Edo State on Tuesday evening, June 29, 2021, hours after his final paper and signing out. While the Political Science student died on the spot after being shot by the mask-wearing gunmen, his friend Walter Emeka survived after being shot in the arm. Emeka is said to be responding to treatment.

Nnamdi Kanu must not die in custody – Fani-Kayode warns Buhari
Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister has issued a warning to the Nigerian government over the rearrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. He warned that the IPOB leader must not die in custody. Biafra: Sowore demands immediate release of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu
Convener of Revolution Now, Omoyele Sowore, has called for the release of Biafra agitator, Nnamdi Kanu. Sowore, in a Facebook post, asserted that Kanu had done nothing to cause his arrest. “FreeKanu now! Asking for self determination is not a crime!”, he wrote. Former South African President, Zuma sentenced to 15 months imprisonment
Jacob Zuma, former president of South Africa, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for contempt of court.
