Former Emir of Kano and ex-governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Muhammadu Sanusi II, has said Nigeria has not made any progress economically in the last 40 years. CAN and NSCIA condemn Plateau killings
The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) have condemned the killing of 22 travellers in Plateau state. The travellers were killed while returning from Bauchi to Ondo state after attending an Islamic function. NSCIA’s Director of Administration, Mr Zubairu Usman-Ugwu appealed to Muslims to remain calm and further added that they are monitoring the situation to ensure that justice is served. Gov Zulum receives another Chibok schoolgirl, Hassana Adamu with her two kids
Another Chibok schoolgirl, Hassana Adamu was on Saturday handed over to the Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum. Zulum received the girl and her two children in Gwoza, as they were presented to him by the Nigerian Army. Adamu was said to have presented herself to the Nigerian Army. Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, on Saturday in Gwoza, received another Chibok Girl who presented herself to the Nigerian Army. The schoolgirl, Hassana Adamu, alongside her two children, was handed over to Governor Zulum by the Commander, 26 Taskforce Brigade, Brigadier General DR Dantani. BREAKING: Bandits gun down scores in Kaduna fresh attacks
No fewer than 8 persons have been killed in a fresh attack launched on farmers in Buruku and Udawa villages of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State by suspected bandits. IPOB suspends sit-at-home order
The Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) has suspended the weekly sit-at-home exercise it commenced this week in the southeast. This was according to a statement by the group’s Spokesperson Emma Powerful, on Saturday. IPOB had declared a weekly sit-at-home exercise to protest the arrest and detention of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government.
