Kidnappers free one Bethel Baptist High school student on health ground
One student, among the 121 abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School Kaduna, has regained freedom on health grounds. It was learnt that the abducted student was brought back by two of the same abductors. A source disclosed that the released student has been taken to the hospital and is recovering. According to the source, the freed student confessed that they were being given good treatment, as the leader of the abductors directed that the abducted students be treated well and should not be molested. Insecurity: Bandits also attack Fulanis – Miyetti Allah
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, says Fulani tribe are also victims of banditry and cattle rustlers. Chairman of MACBAN, Haruna Usman Tugga made the remark while disclosing that Fulanis were attacked in Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, 16 Fulanis, mostly women and children, were killed, while over 300 houses were burnt down. Niger Gov, Sani-Bello signs law to hang bandits, kidnappers, Informants, others
Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello of Niger State, signed into law, death penalty by hanging for cattle rustlers, bandits, kidnappers and informants in the state. The Niger State House of Assembly on Friday passed the bill into law. Army General killed in Abuja laid to rest
Major-General Hassan Ahmed of the Nigerian Army, who was killed by suspected kidnappers in Abuja on Thursday night, has been buried at Lungi Barracks Cemetery, Abuja. Ahmed, who was recently appointed Director at Army headquarters, was shot dead in the Abaji area of Nigeria’s capital and his wife, abducted. The development was confirmed in a statement on Friday by Brig.Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, an army spokesman. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has ordered television and radio stations not to divulge “details” of activities of bandits, terrorists and kidnappers in their reports. Gunmen kill Army Director, abduct wife in Abuja
A director at the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja, Major General Hassan Ahmed, has been killed and his wife, abducted. He was murdered on Thursday in the Abaji area of Abuja. The couple were coming from Okene, Kogi State, when they were attacked. According to a source, “They opened fire on his vehicle and he died. The driver pretended to be dead, so they took the wife away.” Ahmed was recently appointed a director at the Army Headquarters. He was a former Provost Marshal of the Army.
