The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has raised an alarm on the alleged persecution of Christians in the Northern part of the country. CAN’s Assistant General Secretary and Chairman of CAN’s anniversary celebration committee, Elder Biodun Sanyaolu who spoke at the association’s 45th anniversary in Abuja, alleged that there are attempts to hijack its leadership and destabilise the association. We did not pay ransom to secure release of abducted Niger Students — Lawmaker
Niger state Lawmaker, Senator Mohammed Musa has revealed that no ransom was paid to secure the release of the abducted students of the Islamic seminary in Niger State. Recall that Gunmen had on May 30 stormed the school in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State and whisked away 93 children. 32 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna State have regained their freedom from their abductors. Recall that on the 5th of July, 2021, over 100 students were abducted from the Bethel Baptist High school, Damishi, Kaduna.
