Kano government bans movies showing kidnapping, drug addiction
The Kano Film Censorship Board has banned the showing or selling of movies displaying kidnappings, drug addiction, and other criminal activities in the state. According to the Board Executive Secretary, Ismaila Naaba Afakallah, this became necessary in order to curb those vices and reduce the possibility of young people adopting those criminal acts. “Henceforth, we will not allow films displaying Kidnappings, drug addiction and GSM phones snatching which has now taken toll on Kano residents, he said. Former Governor and Senator representing Imo West, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has disclosed that he has never received a dime as salary from the National Assembly, since becoming a Senator, over two years ago.
