Boko Haram: Governor Zulum receives another Chibok schoolgirl with her kids in Gwoza
Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, on Saturday in Gwoza, received another Chibok Girl who presented herself to the Nigerian Army. The schoolgirl, Hassana Adamu, alongside her two children, was handed over to Governor Zulum by the Commander, 26 Taskforce Brigade, Brigadier General DR Dantani. Zulum was in Gwoza from there he moved to Bama, undertaking humanitarian activities. He had just returned from northern Borno where he spent five days for humanitarian interventions. BREAKING: Bandits gun down scores in Kaduna fresh attacks
No fewer than 8 persons have been killed in a fresh attack launched on farmers in Buruku and Udawa villages of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State by suspected bandits. The attack happened while the farmers were working on their farm. It can be recalled that the two villages located along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway have been under constant attacks recently. IPOB suspends sit-at-home order
The Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) has suspended the weekly sit-at-home exercise it commenced this week in the southeast. This was according to a statement by the group’s Spokesperson Emma Powerful, on Saturday. IPOB had declared a weekly sit-at-home exercise to protest the arrest and detention of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government. The exercise, which commenced on Monday, August 9, was trailed by loss of lives, property as well as huge financial and economic implications for the region.
