Grant amnesty to detained IPOB members, Igboho supporters – Orji Kalu tells FG
Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has called that the detained members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and associates of Sunday Igboho be granted amnesty and given the same treatment as repentant Boko Haram insurgents and bandits. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has said its members can embark on strike at anytime, as the Federal Government is breaking on its promise to implement the Memorandum of Action, MOA, which was agreed and signed on last December. UAE names Nigerians among sponsors of terrorism
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has listed six Nigerians as financiers of Boko Haram and terror activities. State-run WAM news agency reports that the information was released at the country’s federal cabinet meeting in Abu Dhabi on Monday. The Nigerians are Abdurrahaman Ado Musa, Salihu Yusuf Adamu, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, Ibrahim Ali Alhassan and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad. They were prosecuted in 2020 for wiring funds to Boko Haram. FG approves deployment of 5G network in Nigeria
The Federal Government has approved the deployment of the Fifth Generation Network, also known as 5G in Nigeria. Isa Pantami, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy disclosed the approval after the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting in Abuja last week Wednesday. Kogi: Yahaya Bello govt confirms Kabba prison break
The Kogi State Government has confirmed an attack on a Correctional Centre in the state. Gunmen had attacked the Kabba Custodial Centre in the wee hours of Monday which saw the death of two soldiers and the escape of inmates.
