BREAKING: Chairman of Pension Reformed Task Team, Maina sentenced to Eight Years Imprisonment
A Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced Abdulrasheed Maina, the former chairman of the now-defunct Pension Reformed Task Team to eight years imprisonment. Maina was found guilty of money laundering in a judgement being delivered by Justice Okon Abang. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended the collation of results for the Anambra governorship election. The returning officer for the election, Professor Florence Obi announced this at midnight, she said the decision to suspend the collation of results became necessary to give room for a supplementary election in Ihiala LGA, which has been fixed for November 9, 2021.
