Blessing Okagbare may go to jail over alleged illegal drug use – AFN reveals
The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has expressed fear and concern over allegations of Blessing Okagbare’s illicit drug use. Okagbare has been charged with three offences by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), and was suspended just before her semifinal race at the Tokyo Olympics after testing positive for a human growth hormone following an out-of-competition test on July 19. The 32-year-old was said to have later tested positive for another banned substance, recombinant erythropoietin (EPO), which increases red blood cell count. Catholic priest abducted in Abia state
A newly ordained Catholic priest identified as Rev Fr Godfrey Mark Chimezie, officiating priest at St Theresa Catholic Church, Umuahia, Abia State, has been abducted. Fr. Chimezie was kidnapped along Enyiukwu Road Ohokobe Afaraukwu community, Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State after concluding a morning mass at St Gabriel ,Okpururie, Afaraukwu.
