President Buhari has reacted to the controversial death of 11-year-old Dowen college student, Sylvester Oromoni, who died after he was allegedly attacked by some of his seniors at school. I sold human head for N25,000 – Suspected ritualist arrested in Oyo state confesses
A 42-year-old suspected ritualist, Abideen Raheem, has been arrested by men of the Oyo state police command. While being paraded, Raheem confessed that he exhumed a body from a cemetery in Ibadan, cut off the head, and sold it to a friend for N25,000. Court orders DSS to pay N2m to Sowore over illegal seizure of his phones
A federal high court in Abuja has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to pay the sum of N2 million as general damages to publisher and activist, Omoyele Sowore, over the unlawful seizure of his phone in 2019. The DSS arrested Sowore on August 2, 2019 and confiscated his phones. Despite being granted bail by two courts, the DSS failed to release the activist. He was, however, eventually released on December 24, 2019. Sowore then instituted a suit against the secret service to compel the agency to return his seized phones. Football legend, Pele hospitalised for tumour treatment

Lagos state govt shuts down Ojodu Grammar school after students die in truck accident
The Lagos State Government has shut down Bab Fafunwa Millennium School, Ojodu, formerly Ojodu Grammar School until January 2022. This was disclosed in a statement by the state Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo when she visited the school on Wednesday morning, December 8. Students of the school have been protesting after a truck killed two of their schoolmates on Tuesday, December 7.
