The Osun State Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs has rescued a 7-year-old girl who had been starved and neglected by her aunt in Osogbo, the state capital. The aunt is said to have given her food only once per week before abandoning her in the backyard of the house in an environment likened to a refuse dump. The Ministry stepped in after they were informed of the girl’s plight. Okorocha loses Mbadiwe University to Imo Government
Former Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha has lost the tussle for ownership of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ogboko, to Imo state government. The final judgement was given yesterday December 9, as the operating certificate for the university was handed over to Imo State through Governor Hope Uzodimma by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Katsina State commissioner for science, technology and innovation, Rabe Nasir, has been assassinated. Mr Nasir was killed in his private residence in Katsina Thursday evening.
