Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has sacked the state Commissioner for Health, Professor Princewill Chike, for not seeking the state government’s approval to host the preliminary session of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, MDCN, in Port Harcourt, the state capital. The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has reacted to threats by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to lock down the South-East region if President Buhari visits the state. Man arrested with 1Million tramadol capsules
A 43-year-old man identified as Onuoha Friday has been arrested by operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for being in possession of one million capsules of tramadol. He was reportedly arrested on December 10, 2021 at a checkpoint between Lagos-Benin expressway. According to the Spokesman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Femi Babafemi a Ghanaian and two Nigerians were also arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and Akanu Ibiam international Airport, Enugu for trafficking 9.953kg of cocaine and methamphetamine.
