Catholic priest abducted in Ondo
A Catholic Priest identified as Reverend Father Joseph Ajayi has been abducted. The incident happened along Akure-Ikere Road in Ondo State when the priest was returning from Ikere, a city in neighbouring Ekiti State and travelling to Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State A family source who confirmed the abduction of the cleric, told Channels Television that he was very close to Akure, the Ondo State capital where his parish is situated, before he was attacked and taken away by yet-to-be-identified persons to an undisclosed location. First commercial flight lands in Anambra as Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority gives clearance for commercial operations to resume at the airport
Flight operations have commenced today, Dec. 7, at the Anambra International cargo/passenger airport, Umueri. The airport was cleared on December 1 by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority for commercial operations to resume at the airport. The first commercial flight landed in the state, just in time for the Christmas holidays that sees many indigenes travel to their ancestral homes in the Southeastern state. There were green and white balloons at the airport to welcome travellers. Anambra indigenes have taken to social media to rejoice over the new development.
