Lagos state govt shuts down Ojodu Grammar school after students die in truck accident
The Lagos State Government has shut down Bab Fafunwa Millennium School, Ojodu, formerly Ojodu Grammar School until January 2022. This was disclosed in a statement by the state Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo when she visited the school on Wednesday morning, December 8. Students of the school have been protesting after a truck killed two of their schoolmates on Tuesday, December 7. Adefisayo said the state government will release an “explicit” statement later in the day containing an official death count and more details about what led to the tragic accident.

Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has transferred power to his deputy, Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, following his trip to the United States of America (USA) to participate in a week-long programme.
