IPOB can’t stop Buhari from coming to Ebonyi – Gov Umahi
The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has reacted to threats by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to lock down the South-East region if President Buhari visits the state. The group had last week stated that it has received information that the President is planning to visit the southeast state and so will ensure the visit is not successful by enforcing a lockdown. The group in its statement said the President is not welcomed in the region as long as its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is still in detention. Man arrested with 1Million tramadol capsules
A 43-year-old man identified as Onuoha Friday has been arrested by operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for being in possession of one million capsules of tramadol. He was reportedly arrested on December 10, 2021 at a checkpoint between Lagos-Benin expressway. According to the Spokesman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Femi Babafemi a Ghanaian and two Nigerians were also arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and Akanu Ibiam international Airport, Enugu for trafficking 9.953kg of cocaine and methamphetamine.
