10 feared dead as church building collapses in Delta
At least ten worshippers have been reported dead after a church building collapsed in Delta state. The building housing Salvation Ministry collapsed around 5:55pm on Tuesday January 11, during a service, the Nation reports. Reports have it that it is the first the church building is being used and so far Eight persons have been rescued unhurt while four persons were taken to the Asaba Specialist Hospital. Buhari orders flags to fly at half-mast for late Shonekan
President Muhammadu Buhari, has directed that the national flag be flown at half-mast, following the death of a former Head of the Interim Government, Chief Ernest Adegunle Oladeinde Shonekan. The message was conveyed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha on Tuesday Night. The President gave the order which is effective from Wednesday 12th till Friday 14th January, as a mark of respect for the former Head of State who died on Tuesday 11th January, 2022.
