The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Rev Father Matthew Hassan Kukah, has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari still picks his calls despite his criticisms of the President’s administration. Kukah, a staunch critic of the Buhari-led government, said he still maintains a cordial relationship with Buhari. Speaking with journalists in Sokoto, Kukah explained that his criticisms were concerns not hatred for the current administration. Kaduna-Kano rail project must be completed by 2023 – Amaechi
Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has told the contractors handling the Kaduna-Kano rail project to complete it by the first quarter of 2023.He said this in Kano on Thursday while inspecting the rail project. President Buhari has signed a record N17.13 trillion 2022 appropriation bill and the 2022 finance bill into law. He signed the bill at the statehouse this morning December 31. Present at the signing ceremony was the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives, Zainab Ahmed, minister of finance, budget, and national planning. Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has sacked his Executive Assistant on Communications, Latimore Oghenesivbe, for what he described as “manifest recklessness and insubordination”.
