Claudio Ranieri sacked as Watford manager after 14 games amid relegation battle
Watford have sacked boss Claudio Ranieri after 14 games and less than four months in charge. The Italian, 70, was appointed on 4 October but managed only seven points from 13 Premier League games. Three men arrested while two are on the run for beating up a lady whose Facebook post criticized a lawmaker from Borno
Three men have been arrested in Borno state in connection to the physical assault of a lady as captured in a viral video. The victim has been identified as Fadila Abdulrahman, a 23-year-old resident of the Customs area, Maiduguri Metropolitan Council. FG suspends planned removal of petrol subsidy
The federal government has suspended its plan to remove petrol subsidy later this year. This was confirmed by Minister of Finance, Hajia Zainab Ahmed when she appeared before National Assembly members on Monday January 24. Ahmed who noted that the timing was problematic, disclosed that they backtracked on the plan after consultations with stakeholders.
