6-year-old allegedly raped by Teacher in school toilet
A 6-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by her school teacher. The child who attends Royal Children International School was said to be “badly injured and scattered down there” The child’s aunt took to Instagram to demand justice. She said the matter has been reported at the police station but claimed the school is trying to cover the matter and settle out of the police station. ASUU strike: Ngige meets Buhari, says N92bn paid to lecturers
Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, met President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, for a briefing on the Federal Government-Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) negotiation. Ngige told State House correspondents that N92billion has been paid as earned allowances and revitalisation fees. ASUU commenced strike on February 14 to pressurize the government for the payment of outstanding N1.2trillion. The lecturers are also demanding the adoption of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) payment platform.
