Buhari returns to Nigeria after medical trip to London
President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Abuja on Friday, following a medical check-up in London, UK.The President left the country on March 6.He had earlier planned to embark on the medical trip from Nairobi, Kenya after attending the United Nations Environmental Programme at 50, but returned to Nigeria on March 4.While in London, the president met with Mai Mala Buni, the Interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Committee. Obiano not released from detention, transferred to Abuja – EFCC
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has countered claims that the immediate-past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has been released from detention.According to the EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, Obiano was transferred to Abuja on Friday morning. “He’s still with the commission. He was even transferred from Lagos to Abuja this morning,” Uwujaren said.Uwujaren, however, did not state whether the ex-governor was arrested alongside his wife, Ebelechukwu.
