Soludo sworn-in as Anambra Governor
Prof Chukwuma Soludo has officially been sworn-in as the Governor of Anambra State.He was sworn in by the State Chief judge, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu at exactly 9:45am, at the Anambra State Government House.The event was witnessed by several dignitaries, including the out-gone governor, Chief Willie Obiano, his wife, Mrs Ebelechukwu, and all the 30 members of the Anambra State House of Assembly.As of the time of filing this report, the new Governor is already inspecting the guard of honour, his first task as Governor of the State.

Buhari apologizes for Petrol, power shortages
President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a message to Nigerians, apologizing for the shortage of petrol and electricity in the country. The apology was disclosed in a statement by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, on Wednesday. Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmed has said that the Power sector has improved in the Buhari-led administration. Ahmed in a tweet cited the collapse of 42 grids in 2010. Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed has explained that the Federal Government will use loans and eurobond cash to fund petrol subsidy.
