Danish National sentenced to death by hanging for killing Nigerian Wife and three-year-old Daughter
A Lagos High Court has sentenced a Dane, Peter Nielsen, to death by hanging for killing his Nigerian wife, Zainab and three-year-old daughter.Mr Nielsen was convicted on two counts of murder brought against him by the Lagos State Government.The judge, Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile sentenced Mr Nielsen to death by hanging on both counts. Former NDDC MD, Nsima Ekere has been arrested by Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged diversion of funds to the tune of N47 billion through registered contractors of the agency.His arrest was confirmed by EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwajaren on Channels Television.Nsima, 56, was the agency’s Managing Director between 2016 and 2018. Court declares dancing senator, Ademola Adeleke, authentic PDP candidate in Osun
Justice Nathaniel Emmanuel of the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo has affirmed Senator Ademola Adeleke as the authentic candidate that would represent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the July 16 governorship election in Osun State. The judge made the declaration while delivering judgment in a suit filed by a factional candidate of the PDP, Prince Dotun Babayemi.
