Governor Umahi wins Ebonyi South Senatorial ticket after losing APC Presidential ticket
Governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi, has won the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Senatorial primary election re-run for Ebonyi South after his younger brother, Austin Umahi, had emerged the winner of the election two weeks ago. The party canceled the senatorial primary election for Ebonyi South and rescheduled it for Thursday night, June 9th after the Presidential aspirant lost to Tinubu The election was held at Afikpo North Local Government Council, with Governor Umahi clinching the party’s senatori ticket.

Akpabio clinches APC senatorial ticket in rerun election after stepping down for Tinubu
Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has clinched the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial district in a rerun election. There were 524 delegates and 512 accredited delegates. Akpabio clinched the ticket with 478 votes. While Sir Joseph Akpan had one vote, DIG Ekpo Udom who initially won the first primary had three votes, with 11 voided votes.
