The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah has said his nephew and a driver who were kidnapped over three months ago are still in captivity. The Pastor of the church and worshippers were flogged by the masquerades who disrupted the church service. Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Special Offences Court on Monday, September 19, sentenced kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans, and his co-defendant, Victor Aduba, to 21 years imprisonment for kidnapping one Sylvanus Ahanonu Hafia and collecting $420,000 as ransom from his family. They were accused of conspiring and kidnapping Hafia at about 5:30 pm on June 23, 2014, at Kara Street, Amuwo Odofin in Lagos.
