Aba youths stage protest, demand the end of Ebubeagu
Youths in Aba, Abia state have taken to the streets to demand an end to the Ebubeagu militia in the state They carried placards with the inscription ”End Ebubeagu in Igboland”. The residents called on the state government to scrap the security outfit created by the South East governors in April 2021 to specifically secure lives and properties in the region. The protesters alleged that members of the security outfit have repeatedly engaged in extrajudicial killings and that it is time for them to be disbanded.
