Kano TikTok skit makers to receive 40 lashes in public, sweep court premises and wash toilets for defaming Gov Ganduje & calling him a corrupt politician
Kano State Magistrate Court presided over by Aminu Muhammad Gabari on Monday, November 7, 2022, ordered 40 lashes be administered on two skit makers, Mubarak Isa Muhammad (Uniquepikin) and Nazifi Muhammad Bala for defaming the character of Governor Ganduje on their Tiktok accounts. The court also ordered the duo to sweep and wash the toilets of Nomansland Magistrates Court premises for 30 days. “They will receive 20 lashes each, to be administered in the public. They should also sweep and wash the toilets of Justice Aloma Mukthar Court Complex in No-man’s-land,” the judge ruled. The convicts had pleaded guilty to a two-count charge…

Bayelsa is worst-hit state in Nigeria – BYSEMA tackles Minister for saying Bayelsa was not in top-10 states affected by flood
Bayelsa State Emergency Management Agency (BYSEMA) has tackled Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, over claims of the South-South state not being among the 10 worst-hit states by flood in the country. BYSEMA in a statement released on Monday, November 7, said no fewer than 1.3million residents of the state are displaced and compelled to seek refuge in temporary camps. BREAKING: FG announces resumption of Abuja-Kaduna train services
The Federal Government on Monday said the train services on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line are set to return this month, November. This was according to a statement by the Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Sambo while giving the scorecard of his ministry in Abuja. He however did not give a specific date for the resumption He said adequate security has been put in place to ensure the safety of passengers. Sambo said the ministry has learnt enough lessons from the attack in March which claimed the lives of several passengers leading to the suspension of train service on the Abuja-Kaduna route.
