NIS query Female Officers for partaking in #Bopdaddychallenge (Video)
Nigerian Immigration service(NIS) has written a query to its female officers who took part in the recent #bopdaddychallenge. According to a letter dated April 15 shared by Oluwaseun Owosobi, founder of Stand to End Rape Initiative, the female officers were accused of indecent flaunting of their bodies and desecration of the NIS uniform in the video which as written in the query has caused a lot of embarrassment to the NIS.

Covid-19: Ondo State discharges Index Case
Ondo State government has announced the discharge of its index case, a military officer who returned from Indian and showed some symptoms during isolation before he was taken in for treatment. Governor Rotimi Akeredolu who stated this at a media briefing said the first case was successfully treated due to high quality care. He also added that 22 contacts traced to the first case have tested negative and two other persons undergoing treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital have tested negative and the result of the second test is being awaited.

Chinese Billionaire, Jack Ma has announced that the third donation of relief materials to Africa will immediately be given to the African union and Africa CDC. He made this known via his twitter handle on Monday 29th of April. Ganduje signs Law to deport non-indigenous Alamjiris
Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has signed the Infectious Diseases Regulation Law 2020, to allow him deport Almajiris who are non-indigenes of the state in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus. The governor disclosed the development on the new regulation on Sunday when he received a situation report from the State’s Task Force on COVID-19 and the fundraising committee at the Government House in Kano. “We closed all schools in the state to curb the spread of the pandemic but we found out that existence of Almajiri schools is constituting a stumbling block,” the governor said. Abducted Naval Officer, David Igbashal killed for rituals
Naval officer David Igbashal who was abducted on the 22nd of February, 2020 by unknown armed men in Akwa Ibom State on his way home from Calabar has just been confirmed dead. He was a fresh graduate from the Nigerian Defence Academy NDA, and was posted to Calabar port. The presidency has commended former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode for calling in to express his condolence over the death of Buhari’s chief of staff, Abba Kyari. 51 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Nigeria
Nigeria has recorded 51 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). In a tweet on Friday, April 17, the NCDC reported thirty-two cases in Lagos, six in Kano, five in Kwara, two each in the Federal Capital Territory and Oyo, and one each in Ogun and Ekiti. This brings the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria to 493, discharged cases 159, and Deaths 17.
